Toorak Ave Kitchen Renovation

This charming cottage located in country Victoria had a dated kitchen that was no longer meeting the needs of its occupant. A lack of storage and bench space was my client's biggest concern. She loves to bake and wanted space to display and store her large collection of cookbooks. The renovation included removing a wall to open the kitchen to the dining and living room and this also allowed for the addition of the much desired island bench. A door on the back wall was covered in to allow for a full wall of cabinetry providing more storage and bench space. Designing the cabinets to the ceiling provided extra storage and minimises the need for dusting. The addition of an appliance cupboard with pocket doors and a pull out broom / stick vacuum cupboard all added to the functionality.

Overall, the client is thrilled at the improved storage, functionality and aesthetic of the kitchen, all of which was achieved without increasing the actual footprint of the room.
